Prince Charming's Prince Charming

Henry William George is the current prince of Wales, a kind and quiet sort of young man. Everyone absolutely adores him (Well, not everyone but relatively so). Your character is a part of a new indie band that's rising up out of Leeds. Their sudden rise to fame has drawn all the media attention. While Henry is being interviewed on the Late Late show, the host asks him which of the men in the band is his favorite. He sheepishly answers with your character's name. The next week, your character's band is on the show, and the host mentions the fact that he is Henry's favorite. After some slight prompting, your character is convinced to tweet the other man. It starts up a flirty sort of friendship. They end up meeting at a benefit football (soccer) game in Manchester that your character is playing in. We can elaborate more when someone decides to roleplay with me.

Vampire weekend is my absolute favorite. I'm also fairly partial to Band of Horses, Kithkin, and Keaton Hensen. They're all perf. Indie music is definitely my jam even though I absolutely love alternative. It's very relaxing and I love the instrumental side of it as well (ukuleles and other crazy instruments that they use).
I'm completely fine with roleplaying with you a million times. It's easy because I know how you roleplay, so I don't have to try getting comfortable with someone else's style. It's all just beneficial in the end. Plus, you don't know how much I want to roleplay this plot. I mean srsly... It's been absolutely driving me mad with anticipation. I mean, it's odd cuz I haven't created a character for it yet, and all, but I still have this insatiable need to use this plot.
Im gonna just make a character for this right now and pray that you're online...

Henry William George||26||Male
He's a man of few words. He gets shy very quickly, and he blushes easily. He's an all around sweetheart who likes to meet new people (even if he can be slightly awkward whilst doing so). He is extremely intelligent, and often in an abstract sort of way, and he is very musically gifted in classical instruments.

I'm so sad that Alan and his girlfriend broke up. They were so adorable /:
I'm gonna start with Henry on the talk show, Kay? (I wasn't gonna change his name, but it had to sound regal and British haha).

"So, Henry, the last time we had your sister, Princess Lizzy, on the show, she mentioned that you were quite fond of that band rising up out of Leeds, The Kings Downfall," the host said, giving Henry a smile. The political talk had ended, and banter between the two just begun. It was a friendly sort of talk as Henry often came onto these talk shows and he usually knew the hosts well.
Henry caught his bottom lip between his teeth and he said, "Yeah! They're brilliant!"
"Well, do you have a favorite in the band?" the host asked, his tone taking a devious turn. He was teasing the young man sitting across from him, and everyone could tell. All harmless fun, some would say.
"Well, yeah. Who doesn't?"
"I see. Well, now you have to tell me which one he is. I'm right curious," he responded, leaning forward in his seat. He was actually curious. It seemed odd that the gorgeous prince had never had a girlfriend, and since he'd outted himself the last time he was on the show (without permission) everyone was trying to find out if he liked anyone.
"Uhmm... The fit one..." Henry mumbled, still biting at his lip nervously.
"Which one is the fit one?" he asked.
Henry looked at the ground, his light eyes fixed on his shoes. A flame of red blush had colored his cheeks by now, and his response, though completely understandable, sounded shy. "Alan Ashby."
A roar of clapping came up in the crowd.

The host sat in his own seat, offering a welcoming smile to Alan. The show started off as usual. He asked the important questions about the soon to be football game fundraiser and a small gig that was coming up for the band. It was obvious that people were waiting for something else.
"Okay, we all know that I'm just dying to ask. We had Prince Henry on the show last week. I'm just curious to know, were you watching?" the host said, his eyes twinkling mischievously. Everyone was leaning forward in their seats, anxious to hear what Alan had to say. Henry was openly gay. Many people, however, we're unsure on Alan's sexuality since the band had just risen up to popularity and they hadn't been in the spotlight too long.

Henry sat in a meeting with a few others. The queen was talking, but all the young man could think about was wanting to be somewhere else. These meetings, after two hours, became excruciating. He needed to get up and stretch, but even the slightest movement prompted a strict glance from both his mother an father. Their piercing gazes were enough to keep him stark still, spare the way his fingers tapped a symphony on the fabric of his slacks. That was another awful thing about these meetings. He was always forced to dress to the nines. These people were his family for Gods sake.

I think I'm gonna have Henry sneak into that gig to see them live. They don't end up meeting, but someone could tell Alan, and prompt another tweet that's like "why doesn't anyone tell me that the prince comes to my gigs" and they can have a short conversation or something... Maybe?

"Well, since you watched the interview, you surely know that Henry is fairly shy. Heaven only knows why. I mean, he's a prince!" the interviewer said. He was obviously giddy with the response that Alan gave him. These were always the most interesting part of the shows, and positive reactions to those sort of things were always warmly received. "Nonetheless, he am awfully quiet lad, not always apt to start a conversation. Especially not if it's a conversation with someone he fancies. This is why I propose that you tweet him. It'd be right adorable, and it could just be a hello."
The crowd showed their support for the idea by cheering. A few wolf whistles carried through the raucous of clapping and yelling.

As the queen drew her statement to a close, Henry's sister cleared her throat in that polite way of hers. Everyone's eyes turned to the beautiful girl. With a light smile, she said, "Henry and I need some fresh air. I hope none of you mind if we excuse ourselves for a few moments."
She was to polite for anyone to protest. The pair stood up and quietly exited the room. As soon as the doors fell closed behind them, Lizzy's air of grandure fell and her face lit up with a child-like smile. Henry said, "I'll race you to the garden." Lizzy pulled off her heels and the two took a dead sprint down the hall, narrowly avoiding the wait staff who watched after them with amusement.

The interviewer offered a pleased grin. The crowd, as well, seemed awfully pleased with themselves. The interviewer then continued by saying, "Oh, do tell what you tweeted... Or, even better, we can have it brought up on the screen back there, yeah? I'm sure everyone is anxious to know what the prince will have to say to you."
As he was speaking, the screen behind them flickered to life. The audience watched as the person controlling it quickly went to twitter and searched for Alan in the show's followers. His account was easy enough to find. Then they clicked on the newest tweet, the one directed to the prince.

Henry fel his phone buzz in his pocket. Normally he would check it, but he was on a mission to beat his sister. He was barely outpacing her in his Oxfords and uncomfortable suit, and he couldn't afford to distract himself. Luckily the back door was outside. Henry sprinted through and hopped over the waist-high, stone fence that bordered the garden. He stopped, panting, and sat on a bench to check his phone. When he turned it on, the screen said "New tweet from @Alanashby" (or whatever his twitter name may be). Almost instantly, he felt his stomach erupt with butterflies.

"Well, we're all out of time today. It was wonderful meeting you Alan, and I'm sure we're all waiting anxiously to see what the prince will say," the host said in a perfect announcer's voice. With that, the lights dimmed and the host stood up. He walked over to Alan, and smiled. "Now that the cameras are off, I just wanted to tell you that Henry is a great guy. Be careful not to hurt him," the man said kindly before walking away. The audience, too, was slowly filing out of the building.

Lizzy, seeing her brother in his infatuated state and noticing the twitter icon, opened her own phone and directed it to twitter. She couldn't believe her eyes. Knowing her brother all too well, she was nearly one hundred percent certain he wouldn't reply. She had to take matters into her own hands.
"@Alanashby I must confess, I would have thought you'd have better taste in your royals "
After she sent it, Henry shot a playful glare at her. She looked back, completely innocently.

I have a half day tomorrow, so I don't even care when I go to bed.
If you don't mind, the second part of this post would be the day of the gig, and at the end, there's an interviewer asking Alan a couple quick questions. If you'd rather not, just disregard the very last part.

The princess heard her brother's phone ring yet again. She checked, from her own phone, what Alan had tweeted Henry and she nearly started jumping up and down with glee. "You have to tweet him back! He's totally flirting with you, and you're not missing this opportunity."
Before Henry even had a chance to respond, one of the staff came out and ushered the pair back up to the conference room, telling them that the queen wanted them present for then next round of conversation. Henry had to hold back his groan of displeasure while walking back down the hallways that now seemed painfully familiar.
*** (a few days later. Henry is on a radio show and they're choosing his last song to play)
"Okay, Henry, we have time for one more, so what'll it be?" the host asked.
"(insert name of one of Alan's songs here)," Henry replied easily.
The host gave a chuckle before saying, "Speaking of, you haven't tweeted Alan back, yet. You don't call a man fit and then let your sister respond when he tweets you."
"I was going to... I've just been really busy," Henry said, his voice instantly going nervous.
The song played after the host let out an incredulous laugh.

"Alan, how is Prince Henry?" the woman asked, her tone light as she held the microphone up to him. Everyone was still waiting for the prince to respond the the music star, and reporters were searching everywhere to see if the two boys were talking or meeting up in secret.

Henry glanced at his watch as he exited the radio studio. A few curse words were flung under his breath and he urged his driver to get him home quickly. Sure, he had to show up late to sneak himself in, but he didn't want to miss too much. Before the driver even had a chance to stop, Henry was out of the car, sprinting up the steps and in the front door that was graciously opened by the doorman. He didn't actually live with his parents, and he had a nice flat in London, but there was a lot of things going on within his family, so he was staying home for a while. He ran a hand through his messy bronze hair and threw off his clothes. He took a quick shower. Instead of styling his hair up the way he normally would, he let it be, pulling a gray beanie over the locks. A red, v-neck shirt was thrown on, a denim jacket with gray cotton sleeves and hood over that.He pulled on a pair of black jeans and grabbed his Ray Bans on the way out. He opted for driving himself to the concert, taking his blue Bugatti. The vehicle sped down the streets. He parked himself behind the building and went up to the door, explaining to one of the guards. Henry could hear Alan's voice singing as they led him to a seat where he would be safe. He was unrecognizable, but a guard hung around, just for extra measure.

Henry couldn't bring himself to take his eyes off of Alan whilst the young man was onstage. He couldn't believe they were in the same room, as close as they were. He was well aware that to the whole world he would sound like a fan girl, but he couldn't help himself. It was odd for him, being so into someone. He'd always been very focused on his future and his job, but when he first heard Alan's voice, it moved his thoughts over to make space for the spontaneous, wild-child ginger man. He started to embrace his being young, and stopped his one track mind. Since then, he was able to contribute in conversations amongst the rest of his royal family. Everything had changed.

It was all terribly tempting to Henry. With a sigh, he gave the guard his information to be put in the box before himself slipping out of the building. He wanted to beat the rush of people that would soon be surging out of the doors. The body guard wrote down Henry's information on a slip of paper and put it in the box.
By the time Henry reached his house, he was exhauseted. He walked by the dinner table, planted a kiss on his sister's cheek and hugged his mom before bounding up the stairs. His sister had been, for the past week, begging him to tweet Alan. With a sigh, he perched himself on his childhood bed and typed up a tweet.
"Went and saw The Kings Downfall in concert. @Alanashby is even more fit in person."
He sent the tweet before setting his phone on his nightstand and changing into some loose fitting pajama pants and laying in his bed, the adrenaline still coursing through his veins.
